Simply put, you must meet one or more of the minimum requirements below:

• 181 days of Active Duty service during peacetime
• 90 days Active Duty service during war time
• 6 years continual service in the National Guard or Reserves with attendance records
• Be the surviving spouse of a service member killed in the line of duty
• Must be discharged under conditions other than dishonorable
